About

Maggie is an original!  Her founding efforts helped establish homeschool speech and debate in Colorado and she has been at its core ever since.  She discovered a love for forensics in high school and passionately coaches the Speaking As Living Testimonies club with a strong focus on team building and community service.  Maggie has been teaching homeschool debate since 1999 and has coached SALT with national and regional recognition.  With a background in Early Childhood Development, Maggie is enthusiastic about teaching children of all ages.  Her teaching experiences began with many years in childcare, which culminated in founding, building and directing her own childcare business.  She expanded her range dramatically when her passion for teaching abruptly moved from preschool to high school students, and everyone in between.   She has created curriculum for many courses and has taught classes in pre-school literature, culinary arts for all ages, yearbook, choir, drama, constitutional law, civics, and public speaking. Maggie served as Events Coordinator for the Family Academy of Christian Education and for Training Minds Ministries where she planned events for homeshool children from parties to proms, graduation ceremonies, talent shows, theatrical productions, speech and debate training camps and many other activities for hundreds of students and families.  Maggie also has extensive experience in tournament directing and administration, catering, wedding planning and political campaigning.
